GK Indus\u00adtries GmbH was founded in 1989 in Norderstedt near Hamburg as a company of the Kum\u00admer\u00adfeldt Group and operated under the name Gekupack Ver\u00adpack\u00adung\u00ads\u00adtechnik GmbH until the turn of the mil\u00adlennium. The port\u00adfolio ini\u00adtially com\u00adprised auto\u00admatic net clippers, net sewing machines and equipment for pack\u00adaging fruit and vegetables. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Gekupack Ver\u00adpack\u00adung\u00ads\u00adtechnik GmbH was already ahead of the times in the early years and developed the first net pack\u00adaging machine with ultra\u00adsonic tech\u00adnology. As a result, the business branch with net clipping machines was spun off from the company. This meant that sus\u00adtainable, species-pure net pack\u00adaging without metal clips could be guar\u00adanteed even back then.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

However, even before Gekupack Ver\u00adpack\u00adung\u00adstechik GmbH was founded as an inde\u00adpendent mech\u00adanical engin\u00adeering company, the Gerhard Kum\u00admer\u00adfeldt Ger\u00ad\u00e4tebau GmbH<\/em> pro\u00adduced machine com\u00adponents, assem\u00adblies and also com\u00adplete pack\u00adaging machines for well-known man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adturers of bird feed products in con\u00adtract man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adturing, so that the globally active GK Indus\u00adtries GmbH can today draw on decades of experience. <\/p>\n

The change of name res\u00adulted from the expansion of business activ\u00adities into other areas. Thus, the core com\u00adpetence is now no longer only in the area of bird food pro\u00adduction and pack\u00adaging, but extends over wide parts of the pack\u00adaging industry. Since then, the registered brand Gekupack\u00ae<\/sup> is a fun\u00adda\u00admental pillar of the innov\u00adative GK Indus\u00adtries GmbH.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the con\u00adtinuous devel\u00adopment and imple\u00adment\u00adation of new tech\u00adno\u00adlogies, we are now able to offer our existing and pro\u00adspective cus\u00adtomers a wide range of innov\u00adative and effi\u00adcient pack\u00adaging machines for many areas. In close cooper\u00adation with our partners, we no longer just plan, man\u00adu\u00adfacture and supply indi\u00advidual machines and com\u00adponents, but also design com\u00adpre\u00adhensive systems and com\u00adplete pack\u00adaging lines that are pre\u00adcisely tailored to the indi\u00advidual needs of our customers.<\/p>\n

The developed systems are man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtured by us and installed and com\u00admis\u00adsioned in the pro\u00adduction facil\u00adities of our cus\u00adtomers by us and cooper\u00adating com\u00adpanies. In the case of line pro\u00adduction, smooth com\u00adpat\u00adib\u00adility is also achieved for down\u00adstream external com\u00adponents, such as state-of-the-art indus\u00adtrial robots from partner com\u00adpanies for autonomous pack\u00adaging in card\u00adboard boxes, if necessary, via system and plant-side interfaces.<\/p>\n

Since the start of business oper\u00ada\u00adtions over 30 years ago, we have been con\u00advincing in the areas of effi\u00adciency, quality and service<\/em> and can look back on countless realised pro\u00adjects, starting with small, manual hand-held devices through high-per\u00adformance bag welding machines and tit dumpling presses to highly auto\u00admated pro\u00adduction lines.<\/p>\n

Our rela\u00adtion\u00adships with cus\u00adtomers do not end with the com\u00admis\u00adsioning of a system, but extend over the entire product life cycle of our machines. On request, we carry out regular main\u00adtenance on the imple\u00admented systems and, if necessary, we imme\u00addi\u00adately go out on repair and main\u00adtenance mis\u00adsions. We can also overhaul systems that have been in oper\u00adation for a long time and adapt them to more modern systems by means of tech\u00adnical extensions.<\/p>\n

Envir\u00adon\u00admental pro\u00adtection has been gaining in importance for years and presents the industry with many chal\u00adlenges, which our cus\u00adtomers and we can, however, per\u00adceive as an oppor\u00adtunity at the same time. Our netting machines inher\u00adently offer the advantage of real\u00adising pack\u00adaging without excessive use of material through the use of solid material (film). In addition, our ultra\u00adsonic net sealing machines make it pos\u00adsible to dis\u00adpense with metal clips. Our net clipping machines, on the other hand, also open up the pos\u00adsib\u00adility of using bio\u00adde\u00adgradable net pack\u00adaging and the like made of non-weldable material, such as cellulose.<\/p>

But it is not only our machines that are in line with the spirit of the times in terms of envir\u00adon\u00admental pro\u00adtection: at our new admin\u00adis\u00adtration and pro\u00adduction site in Kal\u00adten\u00adkirchen, not far from our pre\u00advious loc\u00adation, we have had an extensive photo\u00advoltaic system installed so that we can also gradually make our own pro\u00adduction sus\u00adtainable by using renewable energies.<\/p>

At our new pro\u00adduction site, which we moved into towards the end of 2021, we now man\u00adu\u00adfacture to our usual high quality standards and of course maintain a quality man\u00adagement system cer\u00adtified to DIN EN ISO 9001.
