Since GK Industries GmbH started its business activities, the wild bird feed industry has been one of the most important sectors for us. With the implementation of ultrasonic technology in net packaging machines in 1994, Gekupack® succeeded in penetrating more and more into the bird feed sector. Over the years, the existing solutions were continuously optimised and the service portfolio significantly expanded, which ultimately led to us becoming the market leader in this segment with our Gekupack® brand. Our product range now includes a variety of solutions for bird food manufacturers: from dosing and mixing raw materials and doughs, to pressing suet balls / fat balls in different sizes and creating dry food and grain mixtures, to packaging machines for species-pure net packaging, various bag, bucket or cardboard packaging. We have always strived to advance the automation possibilities for the production and packaging of bird feed and to implement new technological developments in our machines and systems, so that we can guarantee our customers efficient and competitive production according to the latest standards.
While Gekupack® initially developed mainly individual machines and compact systems, we are now in a position to present our customers with integrated solutions for their productions and thus meet the many requests for production lines to be designed and implemented from a single source. We now plan, manufacture and install complex, highly automated systems — e.g. for the production and packaging of fat balls or feeding sticks.

Our latest products & further developments
In order to increase the degree of automation of packaging plants in the field of wild bird feed production, we have developed the GKV 4012, a fully automatic depositing machine for portioning and placing 4, 6 or 8 fat balls as standard. The fat balls can be dropped and packed in trays provided by an automatic tray dispenser or sealed without trays by a form-fill-seal machine.
